    Headset adapter wire


    I use the Astro A40 headset so I have the headset adapter and recently the wire I got with the adapter got a little faulty and started making people echo and making a crackling noise. now I bought another wire which is a jack 3.5mm 4-pole male to Jack 2.5mm
    female, so the same as the wire you get with the adapter, yet my voice doesn't work. I am really confused to why as it is the same why which does the same job. any chance of why voice does not work when I use this cable?? I can also hear party chat though
    when I have the cable plugged in.

    Question about a pc headset and the stereo headset adapter

    I have a friend who has a headset he uses on the pc. It has two wires coming out, a mic wire and the audio wire. I found an adapter that merges the two cables into one. If he was to use the Microsoft stereo headset adapter with his pc headset and the
    2-1 adapter plugged in to the MS stereo headset adapter, would he be able to use the headset?

    Xbox one Headset adpater wire broken??

    My Xbox headset adapter wire is broken. ( the shorter of the two ). I there anyway of buying just the one wire somehow?

    I got the adapter from Amazon. I threw away the recient ticket like an idiot...

    Im using info from here:
    support.xbox.com/.../connect-compatible-headset

    More than likely the cable is not a CTIA audio cable.

    -Not all 3.5-mm audio jacks are made to the same standard. There are two audio jack standards:

    -Cellular Telecommunications Industry Association (CTIA), and

    -Open Mobile Terminal Platform (OMTP).

    Cellular Telecommunications Industry Association (CTIA) works while Open Mobile Terminal Platform (OMTP) is not compatible and often times the converters seem to not establish compatibility.

    Please verify the cable type and reply back...

    I believe it is OMTP.. do you know where I can get a CTIA cable from? I cant seem to find one!
