Headset Adapter - Tritton Trigger - Game Audio coming through adapter and RCA connector - ...

I just got my headset adapter this morning in the post, now if you are wondering how I got my Tritton Trigger to work as the included cable has a puck that has plastic in the way is Madcatz sent me a 2.5mm to 2.5mm cable that works great on the Xbox 360
    for chat.

Now back to the adapter, I plugged in the 2.5mm to 2.5mm into the 2.5mm to 3.5mm cable included into the controllers headset adapter along with another Radioshack stereo 2.5mm to 3.5mm into the in line controller for the headset it self.

How you tell it is stereo is by the number of black lines on the connectors tip 2 black lines is stereo, I'm unsure why the included cable with the adapter has 3 black lines, this could be why people are having problems.

Back to the problem I'm having which is with the controller connected both wired or wireless the game and chat audio are coming through the headset adapter, but the game audio is also coming through the RCA connector there is a slight delay in the audio
from the headset adapter and it gets anoying hearing the audio with that slight delay between the two outputs.

I don't think game audio should even be coming from the adapter - For game audio:

    • Legacy gaming headsets get game audio from the back of the console from the S/PDIF port or from your TV/receiver with RCA cables. Get chat audio by connecting the 2.5mm chat cable to the adapter
    I have looked at the

    1. Game balance
    2. Chat balance
But at first glance it appears that the chat balance is also effecting the game balance as well, I will have a proper test later when friends are online or people in game are in public chat to hear them talk.

It seems like the headset adapter has a bug that allows the tritton trigger to hear both chat and game audio when it looks like this shouldn't even be possible to happen.

This is the Halo 4 edition of the headset but it is still at heart a Tritton Trigger.

Anyone else had this problem? Anyone else with a Tritton Trigger or simular that requires a different than supplied cable to connect to the Xbox One adapter?

The only other option I have is to remote the two plastic parts that serve no purpose on the puck and leave my self with a proper 3.5mm to 2.5mm cable.

    :)

Question About New Headset Adapter Before I Purchase.

As seen on MS Official Site for the Adapter:

A headset with chat audio provided by a 3.5-mm audio cable and game audio provided by a separate cable with RCA or optical connectors. (Only chat audio
will be enabled through the Stereo Headset Adapter.
For RCA/optical connectors [game audio], follow the manufacturer’s instructions to connect to the console.)

Will The Turtle Beach X32 Be Compatible with the new Xbox One Headset Adapter?

If you do not have the RCA out, the only way this would work is if the Headset uses the Optical Out of the ONE

To get in to details Turtle Beach Says: Please note that you will need to connect this headset to the stereo outputs from your TV or audio receiver for game audio and use the Kinect® for game chat with Xbox One.

    www.turtlebeach.com/.../58

    Microsoft Says:

The following 3.5-mm audio headset types are supported:

A single 3.5-mm audio cable headset.

A dual 3.5-mm audio cable headset with 3.5-mm CTIA audio cables.

A headset with chat audio provided by a 3.5-mm audio cable and game audio provided by a separate cable with RCA or optical connectors. (Only chat audio will be enabled through the Stereo Headset Adapter. For RCA/optical connectors [game audio], follow the
manufacturer’s instructions to connect to the console.)

An Xbox 360 Wired Headset with a 2.5-mm audio cable. Connect to the Stereo Headset Adapter by using the 2.5-mm-to-3.5mm adapter that’s included with the Xbox One Stereo Headset Adapter.

Please explain the headphone situation for me

This is correct. Using the Xbox One Stereo Adapter (support.xbox.com/.../stereo-headset-adapter), you can use any of the following types of headsets:

◦A single 3.5-mm audio cable headset.

◦A dual 3.5-mm audio cable headset with 3.5-mm CTIA audio cables.

◦A headset with chat audio provided by a 3.5-mm audio cable and game audio provided by a separate cable with RCA or optical connectors. (Only chat audio will be enabled through the Stereo Headset Adapter. For RCA/optical connectors [game audio], follow the
manufacturer’s instructions to connect to the console.)

◦An Xbox 360 Wired Headset with a 2.5-mm audio cable. Connect to the Stereo Headset Adapter by using the 2.5-mm-to-3.5mm adapter that’s included with the Xbox One Stereo Headset Adapter.

As far as suggestions, that is a little harder for me to do. I am a huge gamer on console and PC and I strongly recommend Steelseries headsets, however, if you are an audiophile or use them for more multimedia related things, someone may be able to suggest
    a better headset/headphones.

I cannot be heard in Xbox live party chat, but I can hear others and gameplay, adapter seems to be in working order.

    Hello Mimi!

Below is a list of non-compatible headsets:

    Non-compatible headsets

The following headsets are incompatible with the Xbox One Stereo Headset Adapter:

    • Mad Catz Tritton Warhead headset
    • Mad Catz Tritton Primer headset (Mad Catz offers an adapter for the Primer headset to convert the 2.5-mm audio jack to a 3.5-mm audio jack. Contact Mad Catz for support.)
    • The Xbox 360 Wireless Headset and Xbox 360 Wireless Bluetooth Headset
    • Headsets with this 2.5-mm connector will not work because of the connector format. This connector includes a long, cylindrical pin in the middle of the connecting side that does not fit into the Xbox One Stereo Headset Adapter.
