Headset Adapter - Poor game audio quality / audio clipping / cutting out

I see tons of complaints about the Xbox One Stereo Headset Adapter, but not this particular one. I DON'T have any static sounds on the dashboard, but I do have overall horrible audio quality. Mostly it seems like the audio is clipping low frequencies causing
the audio to cut in and out. The most noticeable place is when you launch Titanfall, during the EA/Respawn intro cinematics. The audio sounds horrible and it cuts in and out during the low rumble. It's also painfully noticeable during explosions and other
low frequencies in game.

I DID update both my controllers. I updated the controllers BEFORE I received my headset adapter. When I first plugged in the headset adapter, I was prompted to update again, presumably to update the firmware on the adapter itself, which I did. It did NOT
prompt for a second update when I then plugged it into the second controller. When I go to do a manual controller update, it says it is up to date.

I have tried hard resets, clearing MAC settings, updating controllers again, wired/wireless. Nothing helps. Please MS, fix this!

Shouldn't have any effect on the audio coming from the chat adapter. The available audio settings should only effect the HDMI audio and optical out audio.

In game audio options will effect the audio quality of headsets or headphone using the chat adapter as the audio source though.

 

Xbox One Stereo Headset Adapter

I got and elgato recently and in order to record game chat and game audio I need to play both through the adapter (why can't party chat be played with game audio like 360 is beyond me). I've never used the adapter for game volume til now, and it is TERRIBLE.
Audio is low quality and constantly cutting in and out. I know the headset adapter came out awhile ago, so I was wondering if there was something I'm missing and if it has always been this way.

Headset adapter only deals with voice chat. Check your xbox connections and other hardware for your headset.

 

SGT MacMillan, no. Don't post here attempting to answer questions you have no clue about. The Xbox One Stereo Headset Adapter passes both game and chat audio to a 3.5mm stereo headset.

 

I just hope they fix this soon - the static voice chat is killing me. I want to use my XP500 or A50's and my buddy's are all complaining that I am killing them with static chat. ( I can't hear it though )

 

To be honest, I haven't even tested my mic. It's the game audio that is killing me. The audio quality is atrocious. They MUST have known about these bugs, but they delayed the adapters as long as they could... I think they wanted them out before Titanfall,
broken or not. I wish there was an ETA for a fix.

 

I'm in the same boat - just got the official Stereo X1 Headset with the adapter, have updated and have the same issue - Anyone got a new fix by chance?

I was having the same problem... Even in a Race on Forza 5 the audio cuts at randon moments, some time it cuts several times in a row and then back to normal working for a randon period...

 

Skitals, Did anyone get any response for this? I just bought the audio adapter and it clips during low frequencies a lot like you said. I have a few days to return this if something doesn't change. It clips almost during any action on Destiny.
