Headset adapter not working properly after update.

When I first bought my headset adapter to use with my Turtle Beach X42 headset, I installed the firmware update as instructed and the game audio worked fine. I have not tried to use it with party chat yet. Today I tried to use my headset and the system
told me there was a controller udpate so I followed the instructions and it said it was successful. My game audio is now so low that I can hardly hear it and there is a lot of static and/or interference. I have tried to adjust the volume with the controls
on the adapter but it makes no difference. I've tried adjusting the chat/game audio balance and neither button has any affect. The volume on my headset does not have any affect on the volume either. I am stumped at what to do about this. My headset was
working with Bitstream setting before this but now it won't even work on stereo.

XBOX ONE Stereo Headset Static Problem....

I got my Headset / adapter on the 2/26/2014, from MS store. An after March 5, console update, and updating my controller. everything is working fine, great sound to the headset. Support is telling you March 7, because the MS Store, stop shipping them until
March 7, because of the update for the controller was not out. If your console is updated, with March 5 update, then you have the controller update too.

You may need to re-update the controller to work properly with the adapter. Just plug the controller into the Xbox and follow these steps:
