Headset adapter and controller losing connection.....

    Hi all,

Wonder if anyone can help shed some light on this very frustrating problem I am having with my controller.....

So...I wanted to use my Sennheiser U320 headphones so went and brought the headset adapter. Did the update for the controller and the adapter as is expected to be done.

The headset works, but not to the quality as the 360 as the adapter probably doesn't amplify it enough! However, it works, and can chat and hear game sound through it. But the problem I am having is that the controller seems to dip out of signal with the
XB1. This dipping out of signal is in connection to hearing cracking and distortion through the headset....sometimes this distortion will hang around...almost cutting out but not quite...then the controller cuts out...and the home button on the controller
starts the flash, likes its re-syncing, and lose all control in the game!

I have done a few things to make sure its nothing else at fault...so I tested the headphone cables, all good, and doesn't cause distortion on any other devices. I have removed the adapter and did another update with the adapter disconnected, then reconnected
it and updated again...still didn't work. I have change the adapter extension cable (2.5mm to 3.5mm) still nothing. Then when I remove the adapter and play games without it, it works normal as it should do.

Am I just unlucky and have a duff adapter, or is this a common problem, has anyone else experienced this? If so, what's the course of action, exchange with the retailer, or if out of warranty does MS do anything?

Any advice on this would be very much appreciated.

    :)

  2. Do wireless Beats by Dre work on a X-1

only if you can connect an aux cord into the headset which would plug into the controller headset adapter

    Stereo headset adapter issue

Brand new headset and stereo adapter will not work. Initially you could hear with headset but mic would not work. Now nothing. The mute button will not turn off. Tried hard reset on xbox one. Tried updating firmware. It says no update, controller up
to date. Tried taking batteries out of controller and reinstalling. Tried reinstalling stereo adapter and headset connection numerous times. Tried plugging headset directly into controller with no stereo adapter. Nothing still. Old turtle beach headset
plugged directly into controller works fine. This is a brand new headset and adapter right out of the box. Unbelievable.

why can i not change my headset chat mixer

Which headset is it? How is it connected? If it is connected via the controller, then generally you would lose some functions.

I use anArctis 7 headset connected via controller and all the options are greyed out...I use the Controller Audio Adapter

Gaming headset, xbox controller, pc, mic volume low

Have you tried connecting headset to controller with a headset adapter connected to controller. The adapter has volume controls on it.

    Razer nari connection

The only way to connect the headset to the Xbox One, is with the audio cable that is supplied with it. Connect the cable to the headset then the controller 3.5 mm jack socket. If your controller does not have the jack socket, then you will need the Microsoft
headset audio adapter, which you connect to the controller, then connect the headset to the adapter.

    Xbox one mic not working

The problem lies within the hardware itself, the controller and headset adapter lose connection as the connecting chip in the controller works loose. I have fixed mine my several times by pushing up the slot inside the controller.

Very very poor design, and shoddy workmanship, the day one controllers whilst well designed are cheap!
