  1. Headset Accessibility for Hearing Impaired

Hello Xbox/Microsoft staff, I write due to being forwarded by Xbox phone support; to get an opinion out for a percentage of your Xbox brand name user base. Xbox
phone support was not able to meet a resolution for my inquiry therefore, I leave here my story:

    Being a long standing user of the Xbox and Xbox Live brand, utilizing features such as - private chat, party chat, multiplayer features, and the marketplace, accompanied by accessories such as both wired and wireless Xbox headsets, play and charge kit, etc.;
flawlessly without interruption. I was diagnosed with hearing impairment after long struggle. Now I wear hearing aids which
do not allow me to wear an Xbox headset to be able to communicate as I normally would.

Although, I do have a solution to utilizing headphone related features with all of my other media products including a direct competitor to the Xbox brand - is using a
third party Bluetooth enabled and/or 3.5mm stereo jack controller which allows me to connect my hearing aids for use as a direct pair of earphones AND microphone!

Xbox 360 or Xbox One does not allow use of any third party headsets not licensed or copy written to the Xbox and Microsoft brand. This is a big inconvenience for myself as well as other who may be suffering or will be suffering the same
disability. The Xbox brand promise is to be accessible to everybody for all sorts of media outlets. I expect that promise to have no exceptions and neglect a portion of the user base.

Please find a solution for this dilemma in the most accessible manner for both Xbox 360 and the Xbox One which I do not own or plan to simply because I am aware this restriction exists.
Details on the Bluetooth/3.5mm Stereo connector I personally use follows, to aid you in finding a solution to making the Xbox brand accessible to everyone:

    Hearing Aid Brand: Oticon

Bluetooth "Streamer" Name: Oticon | ConnectLine Streamer

    Version: 1.4

Other Information: FCC ID: U28STREAM02, IC: 1350B-STREAM02

    :)

    Using Headset for Hearing Impaired

My son is deaf in one ear. I need to convert the stereo sound to mono on a wireless headset. (Turtle Beach Earforce X32)

The headset works fine in stereo. When I put a Stereo to Mono converter into the mix (in all possible combinations) all I get is left side channel and nothing in the right side. I connected the mono adapter to my headset and it also doesn't work.

I put a headset extender between the adapter and the transmitter but it still didn't work.

I connected the adapter to my mp3 player and it changed stereo to mono and it played music in both ears, so the adapter is good.

Is there a special adapter I need for the xbox?

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

    For the Hearing Impaired

    Hello,

I was hoping to get some insight on the possibility of hearing aide compatible devices like headphones, and etc., so people with a hearing impairment can comfortably communicate with other players and even hear the game without having to wake the neighbors.

I am also wondering if the new S controller's Bluetooth can connect to a ComPilot for hearing aides, which is designed for listening to music and connecting to other Bluetooth devices for sound and communication.

Help in this matter will be greatly appreciated.

This is definitely a valid issue and should be addressed. What I would recommend is posting it in the Wishlist/Feedback forums so they can see it and look into the possibilities.

    3D Sounds in Xbox games

I think you misunderstood the question. He does not want stereo as he is hearing impaired in one ear.

What you want is MONO output.

In the settings menu go to Ease of Access >audio>mono

All audio will now come out of all speakers/headsets etc.
