    I recently got into live gaming (ok i'm a bit slow on the ball) but me and a friend have been chatting on skype. Since they are having computer problems, I've been looking at getting a headset for my xbox. now, I know there's this weird plug on the bottem
    of my controller, but I saw at least one thing of 'turtle beach' headsets using USB cable saying its able to adapt to xbox or pc. I was just wondering, if ANY usb headset or they are very... finicky about coding so only select brands (like turtle beach) work.

    I want a 'decent' quality one... not crap, but dont wanna have to dish out like 100 bucks for one.

    Xbox 360 controller turns off if I play Black Ops 2, shoot and have my headphones in.

    I just bought some new headphones, Turtle Beach XCI 360 headphones because I had the same problem with the normal xbox headphones and though my headphones were broken but I have the same problem. I know the headphones work, I tested the mic and whatever,
    but if I try and shoot my controller will straight away just turn off. Any suggestions?

    Top dogs in this line are Turtle Beach, both wired and wireless and ASTRO gaming which provides some good XBOX 360 compatible headsets. Both are over $200

    In the other hand Razer Carcharias is bulky and cheap, around $70, yet they deliver decent quality when compared to the price.

    Buddy, and are you able to test with another headset to see if maybe there's an issue with your Beats headphones?
    (Or if you're able, connect the headphones directly with a 3.5mm jack cable)

    By the way, is this the first time you used the headphones? Or before the headphones worked normally?

    Another method is using an adaptor for the headphones instead of the 3.5mm headphone jack.
