    Controller Issue

We have 2 XBox's and 3 controllers, all of the controllers appear the same, however both sets of headphones only appear to work with 1 of the controllers. While investigating I went into settings on
the XBox and went to "Kinect and devices" then onto "devices and accesories"... when the headphones are plugged into the controller they work with there is a "volume" option that you can put up and down. When you have the headphones plugged into the other
2 controllers the volume option is greyed out.

Any ideas?? We have 2 sons with a set of headphones each which only work on one of the controllers!

Hi, i have two different headphones. One is a pair of standard pop in your ears the other is a set you pop over your ears.

when u plug them in nothing when i turn the 3.5 jack it works.

so i think its the port on the pad is faulty

    Hi,

if you tried the headphones with 3 controllers and they didn't work with no one of this I think that the headphones may not be compatible.

Here you can find some information:

Headphones not working with Xbox controller

    The headphones have worked previously.

As i mentioned if i turn the jack when its plugged in they do somwtimes come on.

i have done some googling and this appeara to be a known issue?

I have also tried the headphones on other things such as my head phone and they work.

Xbox One Controller Headphone Jack Issue

I am having a similar issue. My son received the Xbox One for his birthday in August along with a 2nd controller and headphones. Both controllers stopped working with the headphones over the past month. We thought it was the headphones, so he got headphones
for Christmas and they aren't working with either controller. We confirmed the headphones work by plugging them into another device, so we now believe it is the controller. However, I hesitate to buy another $50+ controller when they won't even last for 6
months. I'm trying to figure out if either of the controllers are covered by a warranty.

Xbox one controller and headphones problem

Thank you but tried all that! Rang microsoft and because they arent official xbox headphones they wont do anything about the controller. As it works fine just the headphone connection not working!

    Volume Problem

If no headphones and earphones are working with the controller, its likely an issue with the controller itself.

Do you have another controller you can test the headphones with?

Headset op controller xbox werkt opeens niet meer [Headset on controller xbox suddenly stops working]

    Hi EtRocket,

Thanks for reaching out to us here on the Forums!

I would recommend trying a regular pair of headphones on the controllers (Both) and check to see if the headphones work. If they do then the controller is just not compatible with the headset which is a known issue. If the headphones do not work with the
controllers, then it may be that the controllers port is not working anymore.

What I mean by headphones is a pair that normally come with your phone (Not apple headphones). Also, try to change the batteries in the controller as well as this may be an issue too.

Give this a try and let us know how it goes :)

Something could be wrong with the controller's headphone port. Try using a different pair of headphones with the same controller and see if that works.
