Headphones nor chat are working

Have a new XBox One...headphones plug directly into 3.5mm jack on controller...headphones were working perfectly to hear the games and chat with friends...they stopped working the other day...I have tried 3 sets of headphones most recent a new set
of A10...can someone help me determine what the system audio settings should be...wondering if my son changed something?

I have tried to reset to factory settings but did not help

one suggestion was the controller was bad...but it is a new system and neither controller is working.

Hello! try this: Connect your headset on your controller, connect your control via micro usb cable to your console, go to "settings", "kinect and devices", "Devices and accessories", select your controller and apply an update keeping the headset connected
to the controller

I have confirmed that both of my headsets work (carry sound and mic works) with other devices. However, they STOP working with every xbox one controller. I just got a replacement controller from Microsoft and it has stopped working.

Do I keep sending back the controllers? I have tried everything and am unable to hear any sounds in the headsets.

I appreciate any advice. Thank You!

Try to see if using it on other devices makes it functional and works? If not, I’d have another look at Parental Controls settings just in case; sometimes it automatically makes changes for me.
