    headphones don't work


    Hi. I have 2 pairs of wired headphones which my son is desperate to get working. Both work on a PS4 and I have tried attaching by cable to the console and re-paired them. But still nothing. I looked online and tried numerous things (often repeatedly).
    Does anyone have any suggestions? NB we are using them (or at least trying to) for Fortnite.

    Looks like pc headphones. Trial and error. Don't think it will work. Hope I am wrong.

    Anyone use headphones when gaming?

    Although these headphones don't work on the 360, i always use the Official sony headphones, the sound quality is exceptionally well and it's pretty cheap, you can find them for around $80.

    Can you please clarify your situation? What model xbox are you using? You indicate that you’ve plugged the wired headphones into the “console,” did you mean that you plugged the headphones into the controller(s)?

    Providing that the headphones are plugged into the (properly paired and functioning) controllers, and volume adjustments have been performed, they (and any other headphone) should work.

    hi. Apologies (that's the trouble with trying to do 2 things at once - loss of concentration). It's an xbox one. One of the things i tried was to pair the headphones with the controller - I followed some instructions i found online (when searching for
    content to resolve my issue) which essentially meant pressing the bind button on side (at the top) of the console and the "connect" button on the controller (this was done wirelessly ). I also checked for updates for the controller (this was done with and
    without USB cable between console and controller). It doesn't seem to be the controller (as i have 2 with both the same issue) and it doesn't appear to be a problem with the headphones as these work on a PS4. Arrghhh! headphones don't work :)

    Can't find volume control???

    I have the headphones plugged into the controller, not into the TV. I don't have a chat adapter, and there's no volume control on the headphones. This all worked until just recently.

    When I use my headphone than the sound do not work, but when I don't use my headphone

    Then the sound works perfectly.
