    Headphones don’t work with controller


    We are experiencing the same problem across multiple controllers. We cannot get any audio through headphones plugged into a controller. There are volume settings on the xbox settings page, but they are all grayed out, cant adjust them. Any ideas?

    tried rebooting xbox miltiple times, no change.

    Apple ear buds will not work other than for sound. No mic capabilities. Is that what you mean?

    If so, try updating your controller or check to see if there is a system update: how to check for update.

    I’ve done everything you said but its still not working, I don’t think it’s the headset I think the controller actually is broken, it doesn’t respond to any other headphones or earbuds.

    also old xbox one controller works fine and is not updated (but i don’t wana use it because it doesn’t have the 3.5 headphone jack) i believe the firmware on that one is still around 1.213 or something
