  1. Headphones Continuously Drop Audio

I bought a pair of Turtle Beach Stealth 700 Gen 2 for my Xbox One over a year ago. Since I bought them I've had issues with them. While I'm playing a game, the audio in and out through the Xbox will drop randomly. It won't tell me that the headphones have disconnected, I just won't hear anything. My phone is also connected via bluetooth and I can hear that audio with no problem. Whenever this problem occurs, I cycle the power button on the headphones and that will fix it but it eventually disconnects again, anywhere from several minutes later to a couple of seconds.

I've tried resetting the headphones, updating the headphone software, and cycling the power on the Xbox. I've bought another pair a month ago and I'm having the same problem.

I'm starting to think that it's my Xbox that's the problem. Does anybody have a solution for this? Do I need to replace the headphone receiver in the Xbox?

    :)

    Headphones Continuously Drop Audio

    Hello MatthewKramer1

Looks like you did the troubleshooting steps listed in support. How far are you from the console? Is there anything that could be interfering with the signal from the Xbox to the headset?

The wireless range from the headset to an Xbox console can extend up to 20 feet (6 meters), the Bluetooth range from the headset to a compatible device can extend up to 33 feet (10 meters).

Note The exact range can vary based on factors such as physical interference (walls and furniture) and signal interference (wireless signals from other devices).

Check to see if there are any other wireless devices nearby and disconnect them. *Devices operating on the 2.4 or 5 GHz bands such as speakers and smart home devices* If the interference is clear, connect them back one at a time to isolate the issue. Some examples:

    • Wireless Speakers
    • Smart Thermostats
    • Cordless Phones
It is a good practice to turn off and unplug electronic devices temporarily to see how it affects the wirelesses interference issue.

If you have any other headsets (not the same brand and model) try connecting to the Xbox and see if the same thing happens.

Did you set the audio parameters with the pad in question? Try resetting the parameters, I hope you did not drop the pad with the headphone jack attached to it.

    i can’t Hear my game

Are you playing on a Xbox console?

If so, go to the audio settings in the console settings and set up the console audio to output game audio via headset.

In the headphone settings you can also set up spatial 3D audio, by turning the audio output for headphones to Windows Sonic, or if you have purchased the Atmos App (the free app only works 14 days with headphones), you can also set Dolby Atmos for headphones.

If you are on the PC, you need to make the headphone your device for audio output (not only voice communications).

Click on the speaker icon in the lower right, and choose the output channel for the headphone. Depending on your soundcard or USB headset, you need to select the proper audio output.

    Stereo Headset and Adapter Issues

I bought the XO Sevens and had two issues. 1 was audio drops all the time from the game sound, and 2 was the entire controller froze, but the game kept going. I had ti manually turn off the Xbox One. I returned the headphones because of these issues. The
audio was terrible and very buggy.

    Installing X42's with Wireless Internet

Actually they are all pretty bad including my latest purchase, the Astro A40's. The Dolby Headphone audio processors included are fine. Its the headphones themselves that underperform vs even cheap models of "real" audio headphones.
