Headphones and speakers audio

I’ve been having a problem in games where all audio is only working in headphones. Some times in games certain audio wont play out of speakers. For example in assassins creed dialogue and melee sounds can’t be heard through speakers but in headphones it
works. This happens in multiple games. Any fixes? Does anyone else have this problem?

If you plug in headphones into the 3.5mm headphone jack do you hear audio?

Are you sure the audio volume is turned up on your monitor settings?

What 'speakers' did you buy?

Most PC type speakers that connect via a 3.5mm audio jack should work. However, as the audio output port doesn't provide power, you'll need a set of powered speakers connected to the mains supply.

are you sure that is the version with speakers, it will have audio controls usually for audio passthrough to the headphone jack on the back

make sure the monitor has speakers, i have a monitor, no speakers but headphone jack output, if the monitor does have speakers go to xbox settings, audio and check that stereo output is selected under hdmi audio.

I have had speakers and headphone on at the same time delivering game audio.
