    Headphones and mic doesn’t work Xbox One


    I'm having the same problem. Xbox One S. New controller and new headset, both bought from the Microsoft store. Tested set-up in store, worked great. Got it home and the headset is muted and I can't figure out how to get it off mute. I have tried everything.

    1) Tried it

    2) I do not see these options in my settings

    3) I do not see these options in my settings. There is a Volume setting for the controller, but I am not able to select it

    4) Controller works great and buzzes

    5) Headset and mic work fine in other devices

    6) What do you mean by "enforcement"?

    7) new controller. Headphone jack and port clean.

    8) fully charged. Headphones also don't register when I plug the controller into USB port

    9) ?

    10) Tried. Nothing.

    Can you think of anything else that may be causing this? Re 3), why am I unable to adjust volume in the controller settings? What does this tell you? Is there a Turn Mic On/Off setting somewhere that I've missed?

    Hey there JPH thanks for keeping us in the loop.

    Just to be on the same page, this doesn't seem to be a software issue since that would be cleared up by performing a soft factory reset. As previously stated we suggest reaching out since the hardware is new it wouldn't be a problem with exchanging it. Give
    it a shot and let us know how it goes.

    Tested controller and headset in the MSFT store last week. All worked great, but at home i cant get the headset to work. Can you think of any software setting that might be the cause?

    Hi, try this: Connect your headset on your controller, connect your control via micro usb cable to your console, go to "settings", "kinect and devices", "Devices and accessories", select your controller and apply an update keeping the headset connected
