  1. Headphone right/left audio balance on Series X/S

I have periodic hearing loss effecting usually only one of my ears, and thus it would be oh great help to me if I could change the right/left balance for my headphones on the Xbox. Is this possible? If not it is sorely needed. Even tho my hearing loss is only temporary I can see that for those for which it is not, the ability to change the balance on Xbox would improve the gaming experience

    :)

Headphone right/left audio balance on Series X/S

Hello Celyn! I'm Kris and I'd be happy to help you with your question.

As far as I am aware, there is no way to adjust the left/right balance at the moment. This could be a feature that is implemented in the future.

Why is my chime setting not there?

It should be in settings/general/volume & audio/additional options & power chime is on the far right.

    Thats on a series x/s.

    Xbox Voice Chat not working

If you look tho the 3.5 mm jack there are 3 black rings, this is to separate left headphone, right headphone, and mic, inside the controller are also 3 connectors, one for each and thats also the reason why sometimes you lost audio on only one of the headphone

Need help with my Xbox Wireless Headset not working properly.

Hello Don C, my name is Oskayra and I will be happy to help solve your problem.

I have researched your Xbox headset audio input and output problem and have found the following information that may be useful.

    1. Check the headphone settings:

If you are having audio problems and cannot hear the audio or other users cannot hear you, first check the volume, balance and mute settings of your headphones:
The volume of the headphones is controlled by activating the dial, on the outside of the right earcup. Make sure the headphone volume is not turned all the way down.

The dial on the outside of the left earcup adjusts the audio balance between chat and gaming audio. Make sure the dial is not turned all the way in one direction, as this will completely mute game or chat audio.
Make sure the headset microphone is not muted (when muted, the light at the end of the microphone turns off). The headset mute button is located on the back of the microphone (at the bottom of the left earcup).

If none of these settings are causing the audio issue, check your headset settings in the Xbox Accessories app. On Xbox X|S and Xbox One consoles, you can access the Accessories app in the Settings menu: Profile & system > Settings > Devices & connections > Accessories. If you don't already have the Accessories app installed on your PC or mobile device, you can get it at:

    Xbox Accessories app
Note In order to update accessory settings, the Xbox Wireless Headset must be turned on and connected to the console or device. Depending on the number of accessories currently connected to the console or device, you may need to scroll left or right to display the headset settings screen.

When you find the Headphones screen in the Accessories app, select Setup to open the headphone settings menu and check the following:
Check the audio levels in the Equalizer to make sure they are not set to the lowest possible value.
If other players can't hear you when you speak, try setting Auto-Mute to Low or Off.
If you hear distorted audio from your microphone, try setting Microphone Detection to Off.
You can select Reset to Defaults to quickly reset the headphone settings to their default values.

    2. Restart the headphones:

Use the Green Power Button on the back of the left earcup to turn off the headphones. You should hear a “power off” sound and the power light will turn off (just above the power button). Wait a few seconds, then press the power button again to restart the headphones.

    3. Reset headphones:

To perform a hard reset on your headphones:
Plug the USB-C cable into the headset and place it next to the console, Windows 10/11 device, or a power source with a USB connection (do not plug the other end of the USB-C cable into the console, PC, or connector still).

Press and hold the headset's power button and mute button simultaneously (both buttons are on the left earcup), then quickly connect the USB-C cable to your console, PC, or power outlet.
If the hard reset is successful, the headphones should be disabled.

Turn the headphones back on. (If you hold down the power button during the entire reset process, the headphones will turn off and restart.)
Note If you hear a tone and the power light on the headphones flashes orange and white quickly, it means that you have cleared the pairing information on the headphones and have not triggered a hard reset. If this happens, try the steps above again.

I hope this information has been helpful to you.

    Merry christmas.

    sincerely,

No Audio with headphones and Series X.

Hi, Lukas! thank you for your reply.

If I'm not mistaken, your headset came with a volume/mute control module that needs to be plugged in via USB. Are you, by any chance, using it with your console?
