    Head set


    My friend is having a real prob with his head set, when he connects to party chat the head set isent picking up the voices, there just coming though the tv and has to use the kinnect to talk. What is funny is that you can hear the beep of the volume up
    in the head set but you can't talk or hear through it, anybody any ideas? Thanks.

    Turn on your headset? Or if it isn't wireless turn on the switch near where you plug it into the controller

    MInes started doing this lately aswell it's annoying, i have had to hard reset twice to fix it and then the other day it did it again but that was when i tried to connect my headset when i was already in the party so now i've just unchecked the use kinect
    as a microphone box and i try and connect my headset before i turn my console on and it seems to be ok for now.... i aint sure of any sure fired fix but that above may alleviate it a bit

    My headset only works in party chat. When I'm playing other games I can see that people are talking but I can't hear them and they can't hear me. It only works in party chat.

    I have had these exact same issues! Before reading about it here, I just thought it was a faulty headset... Maybe we should take this to the feedback forums.

    I have had these exact same issues! Before reading about it here, I just thought it was a faulty headset... Maybe we should take this to the feedback forums.

    Thanks for reaching out, this would be up to personal preference however I have a wireless headset for my Xbox One X and it connects to the console directly and the Xbox can pair the account, controller, and headset to make sure that the headset is using
    my profile when in parties. Some headsets require a USB dongle to be connected to the console, but from my current understanding Xbox software may not support this feature depending on the headset itself.

    I'd recommend reading the information on the store page for the headset itself to see what they recommend to connect to the console as more wired headsets might connect to the controller or console directly.
