    it is really unfortunate that because of a recent XBOX update we can no longer use head sets that are not labelled XBOX

    i have been waisting time trying to fix the situation, I have called 3 times Support before someone could tell me what was going on

    I am a mother and pay annual fees to Xbox for the past 10 years and now my sun needs a XBOX head set to play on line, that is riduculous..let s just through the head set in the garbage and buy another? let s save the planet

    please is there anyway we can resolve this situation?

    It depends on the type of head set you have, most head set's i've had in the past worked fine with the Xbox.

    Third party headsets are not banned, xbox is ok with whathever headphones or headsets you use in your controller, but is only for new xbox one controller like the xbox one s controller, for the older controller you need an adaptor, the keyboard expantion
    works with the 3.5 mm jack

    It could be that the headset is faulty now or that the jack in the controller itself is the issue. How old is the headset and controller ? What brand is the headset ?
