    Originally an Xbox owner but I jumped ship to Sony when the PS4 came out mainly due to specs. Anyway because of game pass and the budget price of the XBox Series S i decided to jump back. However I was dissapointed to see even though the XBox confirms my 1080p TV support HDR because its not 4k it wont allow it. My TV spec is 2K HDR ok a bit of an odd one but many monitors and TVs at lower resolutions support HDR. This is kind of stupid! PS4 supported it,my FireTV happily does HDR. HDR is not tied to resolution. So why? Its actually a fault that might make me scrap the whole XBox idea and unpack PS4 and stick XBox on ebay. Ok not all games are HDR but come on how can the xbox say my tv supports HDR yet says No because you need a 4k TV even though my native resolution is 1440pmax. I expect the Xbox series x as the same issue. Surely this could be easily fixed in a patch it would be a deal breaker for me. I really want to hear that Microsoft are looking into this as end of month thats when ill decide to stay or go but i wont be jumping ship again.

    HDR10 is supported but not HDR10+ as yet.

    HDR10+ May not yet be an industry standard so isn't adopted by everyone. It might eventually arrive in time.

    It takes time to develop, we have only recently seen the addition of Dolby Vision. HDR10+ has only landed on the 2018 high end Samsung and Panasonic TVs. Give it time.
    I wonder how much better it is? If it cannot be added to this gen of consoles, then hopefully next gen.
