  1. Hdr washed out colors and dimmer during hdr content

I have a Sony Bravia xbr55x850c 4k tv and ive set up everything correctly. The Xbox one s

green check marks saying the tv allows 4K hdr video and gaming everything is checked.

So when I go into hdr content such as gears 4 the tv flickers indicating it's in hdr mode then the colors

actually look worse. They look washed out and dimmer the complete opposite of what hdr should be. Help?

    :)

    Xbox One S HDR Bug

Add me to the list. I have a Vizio M55-D0, firing up Netflix causes washed out colors and is system wide until Netflix is exited out of. Even when playing an HDR title (Marco Polo) HDR isn't turning on and the colors are still washed out. Using SmartCast
HDR works just fine with Netflix.

Xbox Oe X Scorpio HDR Washed Out

Same problem here... With my Sony Bravia x90e (KD-55XE9005).

All is checked with a green mark the the video setting of the console (4k, HDR, etc.).

The correct HDMI input is used on the TV and the enhanced feature is activated (to allow 4k and HDR)

My TV activate de HDR logo during HDR content... But for some reason all HDR contents look washed out.

It is like the console send a picture for HDR that is not processed ...

The black levels and colors are far better with the HDR option deactivated in console.

I have no HDR problems with internal apps of the tv or with the PS4.

Hdr washed out colors and dimmer during hdr content

I just came on here to post the same mate. I'm on an LG OLED. Gonna start my own post but will also copy here. Hi all, Just wondering if anyone has the same issue is me. I currently can't use HDR on my Xbox one s as whenever it switched on the picture
is dark, dull and appears washed out. It actually makes SDR look amazing haha. This occurs on forza, UHD blurays and Netflix. I've tried changing settings and nothing seems to help. The Netflix app on the tv itself looks amazing when HDR kicks in. Just wondering
what I'm missing with the xbox My tv is the LG 55EG920. LG 55EG920V 4K OLED TV Review Here are some images from my console. Xbox output options: https://s9.postimg.org/rf9ede1a7/IMG_1712.jpg HDR10 set correctly https://s9.postimg.org/hgofqwrun/IMG_1711.jpg

  5. From doing a lot of research it seems the people experiencing these problems are the tvs that have been updated to hdr via firmware such as 2015 modes etc.. it's frustrating I'm currently in contact with the Sony tv department reps as well , no solution
    as of yet

    Hey all!

Sorry to hear about the flickering and coloring issue. To check, do you have any display settings set to auto on your Television? a lot of times that will interfere with 4K/HDR content and cause issues like the ones you have described. Keep us in the loop
with what you find Hdr washed out colors and dimmer during hdr content :)

I have this problem on my Samsung 65" KS9000. I will get a message from the TV that HDR content is playing and then the video goes dull/washed out. The TV video settings themselves haven't changed. If I view the TV menu or open an app on the TV, color
is normal. When I minimize GOW4 or Netflix, the Xbox dashboard is dull and washed out. If I open a non HDR Xbox app like Youtube, colors will go back to normal. Go back into Gears of War 4, Netflix or the Bluray player, video goes bad. Even adjusting in
game brightness/HDR and the TV settings will not help because the color is so bad.

  9. it seems to be an issue on many different tv models so it's definitely an Xbox one S firmware problem not receiving the HDR signal correctly

Adding my TV model as well:

    Samsung KS8000.

I've been bugging the **** out of Xbox and Samsung on whom is responsible, each is pointing the finger at each other. I believe Samsung however, as the issue seems to be across the board with multiple brands of TV's and models.

    Hope this is fixed!!!!!!

  12. I have the same issue, I have a Vizio P75C1 and the picture is dull and lifeless when hdr is on and hdr content is being played. Is this a hardware issue or just a firmware update is needed from the xbox one?

Does anyone have an xbox one s and a samsung UHD player? with hdr turn on with both? is the xbox one s the only one with hdr10 dullness issues?

Ive tried every setting there is and nothing improves the dull color when hdr10 is active. With hdr10 off the picture looks incredible.

I am having the same problems here with my Xbox One S and my Samsung KS8000.

The first time I used my Xbox One S HDR was fine. After a preview update the problem appeared. I reverted back to the normal update and still same problem.

I changed some video settings like putting 12 bit colors and now the HDR problem looks solved. But definitely the Xbox one S has some HDR issues.
