HDR problems with hisense 4k smart tv

I have a Hisense 43H7C with the same issue. The Hisense 2016 4K televisions do "process" HDR10 metadata but the Xbox one s does not recognize the capability and I'm using a high speed HDR capable HDMI cable as well. I know the HDR works because I've tested
it with HDR video on a USB stick and the tv's built in media player. There needs to be a way to force the Xbox S to output HDR regardless, or Hisense will need a firmware update to allow the Xbox to recognize it can process HDR....

I'm having the same exact issue I have no problem displaying 4k but my HDTV does support hdr 10 but no matter what i do the hdr option is greyed out . This is rather frustrating as I would love to see what hdr looks like on my tv. I'm using the supplied
HDMI cable that came with my xbox one s. My tv model is a Hisense h8 series model number 50h8c

I've started having this issue on my Xbox one x , non Scorpio edition . Watching GN will do it and also Tech Yes City (but his is 30p @4k) . Watching the same videos on my S (the 30p ones play in 4k) , I will not get this issue . I'll watch to see what
the VP9 is it to see if it's the same . YouTube updated it's app on my Hisense 4k HDR10 tv & either they removed the HDR support or Hisense did . I no longer have HDR on it , yet the signal shows VP9.2 (which should be HDR) . All my issues seemed to occur
at the same time , which makes me think it's YouTube messing around .

These are 4K Smart TV's with HDR.

Things to take note of when looking for 4K:

The term '4K' refers to the pixel resolution which on a 4K TV is equal to 3840x2160.

1280x720 = 720P (or HD Ready)

1366x768 = 720P - this is a odd resolution for modern TV now as the only way to display the TV native at this resolution is on a PC/laptop. An Xbox One will be limited to 720P (don't go for one of these!)

1920x1080 = 1080P (Full HD - FHD)

2560x1440 = 2.5K - Sometimes erroneously called '2K' but this is wrong, 1440P is 2.5K. This is something you'll see more on 'gaming monitors'. While 4K TVs can also do 1440P, the option won't be available on Xbox One unless you are using a display that has
a maximum resolution of 1440P

3840x2160 = 4K (or UHD for Ultra High Definition)

Also 'HDR' can be misleading. Manufactures love to confuse consumer's about this. While budget 4K TV's (and gaming monitors) can be Labelled as such, what makes HDR 'good HDR' is the display's peak brightness measured in 'Nits'. Decent HDR is 600 nits, but
high quality HDR is 1000+ nits.
This may explain this better than I can though.
