  1. HDR no longer enabling on my CX?

Just wondering if anyone else is having the problem. After the latest alpha skip ahead I’ve noticed no game is enabling HDR on my series X today.

If I go to calibrate HDR on console I notice the HDR symbol on my tv pop up but no game is actually enabling it.

I’ve tried turning off freesync, dropping to 60 from 120 in settings. Enabling and disabling Dolby vision and a full restart.

I’m also full green in my 4K tv details.

Console was last updated automatically 7/29.

    What do you play on?

Right now I’m on a 42 inch Samsung QLED 4K HDR set, but before the Series X is out I’m planning on upgrading to the LG C9 or CX in 65 inch. I need that HDMI 2.1 120hz OLED goodness in my life.

    Xbox one S HDR Stutter

I am having the exact same problem. With HDR enabled, my 4K UHD version of the Revenant has stuttering and dropped frames. With HDR disabled, it plays flawlessly. Auto brightening is off, I don't have 50hz enabled (it's grayed out). I do have 24Hz enabled.
Disabling 24Hz, with HDR enabled, creates a washed out, almost colorless picture.

Also, I have tried two different brand new 4k UHD Blu-Ray Revenant discs (first one was exchanged at the store). My XBox Blu-Ray player plays standard Blu-Rays flawlessly, with HDR enabled, with no stuttering. So, it's not the player, and it's not the disc.
The problem occurs playing 4K UHD Blu-Rays, with HDR enabled. I also have the latest version of the app, and my Vizio P55-C1 firmware is up to date (it updates automatically).

    HDR

    Hi JayJoe1,

So there is no difference, you enable HDR on your TV then your console will auto enable it when you play HDR content, otherwise if you play a game or a video that does not support HDR it will not enable HDR. Like Darkist1 said the picture especially in shows
on Netflix will appear a lot darker, this is the HDR showing more colors, you can try adjust your picture while watching a HDR video to try improve this to your liking.

Xbox One X says TV doesn’t support 4K HDR

Are you using a reciever with hdmi bypass. If yes, is the receiver compatible hdcp2.2. Are you using hdmi 2.0 cables? If yes, too both check reciever settings. I had to enable a special setting on my Yamaha receiver get Hdr to work.

Otherwise, sometime the TV's are not setup out of the box to support Hdr. You might have to enable settings inside the TV menus. Try to google "enable Hdr (TV model).
