    Hi everyone. I bought my Xbox Series X a year ago. Since then, up until now, I've had no issues with my hdr. Everything looked normal, and everything was working as intended. I recently booted up some Diablo 2, played a bit, then shut off my xbox for the night. When i woke up, i booted a new game up, mass effect legendary edition. I noticed the colors looked washed out and the screen too bright. I've messed with all my xbox and tv settings, and did a factory reset, but for some reason auto hdr makes all games look washed out.

    Now, when i turn off auto hdr but leave hdr10 on, my games look normal, and hdr is working. The exception to this is Cyberpunk 2077. With auto hdr off and hdr10 on, only cyberpunk 2077 looks washed out. I need to disable all hdr features in order to make that game normal. So my questions are, why did this problem just start happening, and what can i do to fix it? Thanks for reading.

    I started to have the same problem on my console with the last update, but my console is part of the insider's program, which lead me to believe that's just a bug on that particular piece of software, what can actually happen because it is a software in beta stage.

    Is your console part of the insider's program as well. Did you notice if this behaviour started after an update?

    You and the Xbox support team told me that this issue has been in preview before. I don't know if it's true because I don't see anything like these being posted before. The HDR screenshot complain I mostly see is that the picture is too dark but I didn't
    mind that since the HDR colors were better looking than SDR.

    Now, DVR HDR screenshots look like they were taken from the The Great Depression. It saddens me that the quality of the HDR screenshots vanished away from one day to the next.
