  1. HDR Gaming

I have an LG HDR10 tv and all is good. This is in the living room.

I also have a hisense HDR10 t.v in the study. and i can get 'll the green ticks signifying that the tv is capable.for 4kHDR gaming when I enable the HDMI 2.0 advanced mode onnthe tv. Howver. When I run an HDR enabled game, it boots up, then as the t.v.
kicks into HDR the screen goes black, Nd the t.v. says no source. It won't work until I deselect the advance HDMI 2.0 mode bit when I do i lose all the green ticks for HDR.

    ANY IDEAS?

    :)

Looking for a 4K tv to work with Xbox one s

One major issue to look out for is that on a lot of 4K HDR TVs when using HDR the input lag is very high and therefore terrible for gaming, a lot of TVs won't even recognise HDR content in game mode!!

  3. HDR Gaming Equality?

I'm with the understanding that all Xbox One games that support HDR will have HDR on the S. HDR is not limited to just the Xbox One X Enhanced games.

    HDR Gaming

Try performing a hard reset EXACTLY like this

Hold the power button on the console for 8 seconds or until the power shuts down completely. Unplug the power cord from the back of the console for 5 minutes. Plug the power cord back in and restart the console.

It may be that the TV is not 100% compatible.

  5. I think I’ve had this same problem when I first set up my Xbox with a new 4K-HDR TV.

You may have set the color depth too high in the video settings, likely the “12-bit” option. For the HDR10 profile, you should set it to “10-bit”. I believe the 12-bit option is only for Dolby Vision TVs.

HDR gaming on Xbox one S?

    Hi,

Regardless of whether you own a One S or a One X, if a game supports HDR it will do so on both consoles.

So if you owned a One X and the game was Enhanced with HDR, you'd get this 'enhancement' plus HDR. On the One S you'll just get HDR.

Overwatch is not an HDR title, neither on One X or One S.

If you were playing a none HDR game with HDR on then you must have overridden the setting on your TV/monitor. The colours will change, but it won't look right.

HDR is not a feature exclusive to One X.

Sony TV KDL-32W660E and HDR Support

Same problem with the KDL-32WE613 My display has HDR and 10 bit output, works fine with Youtube and Netflix HDR content directly on the TV Apps and fine with
HDR games and HDR content on Netflix on my PS4 Pro, Xbox One S ticks HDR by default but says the TV does not support it even when it's forced on in with the HDR-Game or HDR-Cinema profiles.

    Outer worlds no HDR

Is an HDR patch definitely coming or is it only speculation? If an HDR patch is coming then I'll wait to play it. Colourful games like this need HDR.

    4k HDR

Unless I'm reading it wrong - which I hope I'm not - the OP is stating that Fortnite and Apex aren't showing HDR, but the others are. Fortnite
doesn't support HDR, it's an SDR only game. I'm pretty sure this applies to Apex as well.

If you run HDR on a none HDR enabled game, it won't look right. All the colours and saturation will be far too high. If HDR is set to auto and is working for other games that have HDR, then that's how it's supposed to work.
