    Hi there,

    Does anybody know if Microsoft are working on a fix to enable HDR to WORK for the series S console at resolutions other than 4k? We don't all have 4k tvs, either for practical reasons, or financial.

    If it isn't in Microsoft's game plan, then consumers with 1080p tvs can make a more informed decision about which console they want. I don't know for definite, but I have read some reports from people that the PS5 will allow HDR on a 1080p tv. Since HDR is a pretty big thing, I think it's important enough to know to warrant an answer from the corporation itself.

    it is all dependant if your tv also supports hdr, if it does not then whats the point.

    Xbox only support hdr on 4k so we that have a xbox series s and 1080p 1440p hdr 120hz screen cannot get hdr because its not 4k. On ps4 it works tho 1080p hdr.

    Thanks for the quick reply,

    As soon as I got the new monitor I changed to 4K since the old TV I used to run it on only supported 1080p,

    The monitor doesn't have HDR (it's not high end) so I don't have HDR enabled so it's probably not a HDR related issue

    I'll try turning it down to 1080p and see if it experience, many thanks
