    HDR/DV no longer working in Beta


    Currently in beta ring, XSX will no longer play anything in HDR/DV. Initially I thought it was my tv but using a PS4 Pro I find that the HDR is still working just no longer on the XSX. I’ve done a complete shut down and changed hdmi cables, hdmi inputs and even TVs and no fix. Is anyone else having this issue?

    Xbox One X HDR10+ support

    Ambasdadors don't have that information. For now it is HDR 10 and dolby vision. If you don't already have Tv, I suggest dv. HDR 10 + even it is a copy of DV isn't that good in dynamic optimization of the picture frame by frame.

    Xbox One S only supports HDR10 for HDR content, and not the competing Dolby Vision standard. It looks like your TV supports the DV standard...

    Xbox One S HDR issue

    Same here, brand new M65-d0. With Xbox One S set to 4K display, with 4K and HDR enabled the screen with either go to 'silent static' or freeze image (while I can hear the game continue in background).

    HDR is working, but it appears to cause the M65 to crash when in-game. I do not see this behavior in the Xbox dashboard nor game menus.

    According to this post from Vizio CTO on AVSForums, it is known issue?

    Dolby Vision Gaming on Xbox One X (been promissed since 2017)

    Gears 5, Halo, and Borderlands are among the titles currently in insider testing for Dolby Vision

    DV has a huge performance penalty over standard HDR, so most developers don’t tend to use it.

    Out of curiosity, what do you think looks better with HDR vs Dolby Vision?

    DV is a proprietary HDR format, technically superior to HDR10 and HDR10+ in every way.

    Not saying you're wrong: looking better is a pretty subjective thing, after all, but I'd like to check-out some examples if you can throw them my way.
