  1. HDR blanked out in settings?

    Hi,

I have an Xbox One S and an LG 55UF850V which is fully 4k UHD and supports HDR. So with this in mind why is HDR showing as blanked out in settings? The TV comes up as 4kUHD so I'm not sure why this is happening? I have a 4k cable that came with the
console also. I spoke to Xbox support and they were clueless and eventually came back and said this was blanked out as it is already using HDR? This still doesn't sit right, why would it be blanked out if it was already using it? It makes more sense for it
to be blanked out if its not able to be used?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    :)

    HDR blanked out in settings?

    Hi

Have you checked that your TV has the latest firmware installed? I know a few LG TV's had HDR added to them by a software update but I don't know if this model is one of them.

  5. Hi,

I've tried an automatic update but says it has the latest firmware. The settings for Ultra HD Deep Colour are on for both HDMI ports on the TV also.

When going to the advanced settings for the display within the xbox all are ticked but at the bottom it asks me to go back and turn the HDR on from the menu but its blanked out?

  6. Have you one into your TV settings and turned HDR on? Silly question but a few people miss that.

    HDR blanked out in settings?

Hi, in the Xbox display settings is the HDMI connection set to Auto-Detect or HDMI ?

  9. The HDR setting on the TV is on, it is called HDMI ULTRA HD Deep Colour and it is enabled on both HDMI ports.

It is set to auto detect and it comes up with 4kUHD.

  12. When changing it to HDMI it goes haywire, It takes some time after putting a tick in all the boxes for the 4kUHD to pop back on the menu and when I do it says I basically can't do anything on 4k. However this TV is fully 4k and HD10 also. The Deep HDMI setting
is on also and still not able to put a tick in the HDR box.

In this thread above someone seems to have the same problem.

I too have a LG 4K TV with Ultra HD deep color. Microsoft states this is like HDR10, I don't know.

Ultra HD deep color is enabled on my console and TV and I have no problems with it but I do still use the old xbox one not the one s. And I don't think there is a visible difference with the old xbox one.

  15. Yup identical issue here and I have a UF850V 55inch and this has deep HDMI enables on both HDMI ports and HDR is blanked out. I spoke to MS and after 20 minutes of literally not having a clue came back saying it's because the TV is already using the HDR?

To me I don't think that's right, usually something is greyed out when you can't use it? And LG came back and said Deep HDMI is NOT HDR it is LG's own version of this. I have said to them that if this is the case then I want to return my TV for a TV fit
for its purpose as it was advertised as having HDR. I hope you guys with LG TV's don't have the same problem with LG. Both MS and LG have been absolutely no use whatsoever and hard to get real answers from and don't really know.
