I just bought a XBR49X800D TV from Sony because it supports HDR10 and got it all setup, but when I went to the settings page, my Xbox One S says my TV does not support HDR10. So I am in limbo, is it my TV or is my Xbox not compatible because of a software
issue? HDR Mode is enabled on my TV and Xbox still doesn't recognize it. This was the entire reason I bought the TV and if it won't recognize it, then I might need to return it and try something else. Anyone else experiencing issues with enabling HDR?

    :)

    Samsung HDR tv

I'm looking at a Samsung UHD HDR tv but I'm unsure wether it will take advantage of the Xbox one s HDR 10 as it just says it HDR in the description,I have researched into TV but it doesn't say it's HDR 10 do I just presume it will work well because it says
    it's HDR capable

Xbox one X compatibility with TV's

    Hello Guys,

I am having a confusing issue here,

I am going to buy a new 4K TV "samsung ua557350S" I am not sure if its available outside middle east or not , but I was told for xbox one X I need a TV that has "HDR 10", this TV is 4K 55 inch and has HDR but not HDR 10 , as HDR 10 can be found in a category
of TV's called Super 4K ,, anyways if its not HDR 10 would it be a serious issue running xbox on X, like input lag and other staff or it's not ?

I have a Samsung KS8000 and for HDR to work the TV has to have a setting called "HDMI UHD Color" turned on for the specific HDMI port that the Xbox is plugged into. Try to see if there is a setting like that on your TV's picture settings.

    Hi

Just check the setting on the TV as you may need to HDMI 2 feature the HDMI connection you plug your console into. Please check your owners guide and hopefully this should be detailed there.

Do I need a new TV? (Skyrim Special Edition and the new Xbox One S)

I would hold off just a little while longer for a 4K TV. There are competing standards for HDR, with the two main ones being HDR-10 and Dolby Vision. The difference between them being the colour depth and peak brightness. HDR-10 is the standard
chosen for UHD Blu-rays. Dolby Vision is the more advanced of the two but requires more processing hardware. Dolby Vision supports HDR-10 by default, but not the other way round.
