Automatic switching of having both HDR 10 and Dolby Vision on does not work.

Have to have one or the other only on?

If both are turned on screen periodically flickers?

    Xbox One S - Which HDR TV's?

But know that HDR and Dolby Vision are two different, incompatible, color schemes for UHD TV sets. Most support HDR but some support Dolby Vision. There are a couple of websites I check for this kind of tech talk but I don't think we csn post links to
outside sites here. Most UHD tvs support HDR 10 but I've heard Dolby Vision is better. Xbox One does not support Dolby Vision, just HDR 10.

Do I need a new TV? (Skyrim Special Edition and the new Xbox One S)

I would hold off just a little while longer for a 4K TV. There are competing standards for HDR, with the two main ones being HDR-10 and Dolby Vision. The difference between them being the colour depth and peak brightness. HDR-10 is the standard
chosen for UHD Blu-rays. Dolby Vision is the more advanced of the two but requires more processing hardware. Dolby Vision supports HDR-10 by default, but not the other way round.

Dolby Vision gaming Xbox series X

Also, I wouldn't be overly concerned about Dolby Vision, the vast majority of people cant tell the difference between Dolby Vision and HDR10, plus there isn't a TV on the planet that can actually display the full Dolby Vision video standard as Dolby Vision was made for future TVs (like 5 to 10 years in the future)

    This article explains it fully.

What is Dolby Vision? The Dynamic HDR Format Fully Explained | Digital Trends

But this is an excerpt from the article.

"For the moment, there are no TVs you can buy that are capable of displaying 10,000 nits of brightness or the 68 billion colors that Dolby Vision provides. Even the brightest TVs on the market tend to max out at 3,000 nits of brightness, and not even LG’s newest 8K OLED TV offers better than 10-bit color support"

So again, nothing to worry about as long as your TV can display an HDR signal, then it doesn't matter if its HDR 10 or Dolby Vision, it'll still look great.

green flickers when going to dashboard.xbox series x

On your console display settings, is HDR and Dolby Vision enabled?

Most people that get flickers on the screen (both playing or only on the dashboard) with Dolby Vision on is because both HDR and Dolby Vision are enabled at the same time.

Just try to turn HDR off and see if it solves your problem. If it does, unfortunately we will not be able to do much about it. It's a bug reported by some people and the only option would be use HDR or Dolby Vision, not both at the same time :(
