    HDMI working on pc monitor but not on my LG tv (Xbox 360)


    So i decided i was going to run a nostalgia trip and play some old xbox 360 games, i plugged the xbox in and connected the hdmi to the TV and turned on the xbox, however all that i get is a blank screen (no signal) no audio or picture, i tried resetting
    the display settings holding the y button and the right trigger and this didn’t work, i play my ps4 on this tv all the time and never have had hdmi problems, but to be sure i bought a brand new hdmi for the Xbox 360 and still no display, the only way i can
    get any sort of display is via scart cable (red white and yellow cable) but the quality is unplayable. however if i connect my xbox to my alienware monitor via hdmi it works perfectly. Although my monitor has no built in speakers so i can’t get game audio
    which prevents me from being able to use it on xbox 360. I just wanted to see if anyone could suggest something as to why my tv doesn’t show any display using hdmi on the xbox 360 but does on the ps4. Thank you in advance

    Hmm try going to display settings and turning "display discovery" to enable. If it's already on enable, try turning it off and setting the resolution manually.

    I have disabled display discovery, but the only hd output setting i can use now is 480p on the monitor i cannot use 720
