    HDMI wont connect to port

Hello @Xbox2k!! I hope that you are doing well!

Thank you for reaching out to us here on the forums regarding this situation.

See the following troubleshooting tips for when your TV screen remains blank or black when you start your Xbox console.

Solution 1: Check your connection :

    • Confirm that both your TV and console are turned on
    • Check that your TV is set to the correct input signal (HDMI)
    • Check that the HDMI cable connections to your console and to your TV are secure
    • Check that the HDMI cable is connected to the "out to TV" port on the console
    • Try plugging the HDMI cable into a different HDMI port on your TV
    • Try using a different HDMI cable to connect your console to your TV
    • Try connecting your console to a different TV
    • Power cycle your console: Press and hold the Xbox button for 10 seconds to turn off the console, and then turn it on again
Solution 2: Reset your display settings:

    1. On the console, press and hold the Xbox button for 10 seconds to turn off the console.
    2. Press and hold the Xbox button and the Eject button until you hear a beep to turn on the console. You’ll hear one beep right away and a second beep 10 seconds later. The power light will flash on before the second beep. Don’t let go until you hear the second beep or see the console start up in low-resolution mode (the Xbox startup screen will appear slightly pixelated).
    3. This will start up your console in low-resolution mode (640 × 480). To change this setting, press the Xbox button to open the guide. Go to Profile & system > Settings > General > TV & display options, and then select the resolution you want from the Display drop-down.
    4. If you’re required to complete these steps on every startup, you’ll want to change your TV connection to HDMI as shown in step 3 of the next section, “Your screen is blank and you use an AVR in your setup.” For more info, see How to adjust the display settings on your Xbox.
I hope this helps you out! wish you a lovely day!

    Kind Regards

    Stay safe, and happy gaming!

HDMI to Displayport converter for monitor

that wont give you the full hz, it will just mean your outputting a signal from hdmi to display port, the xbox won't see the features of the display port you are connecting to therefore won't allow the settings to be changed for that.

Cannot sign into Xbox Live because of HDMI cable.

Have you tried with a different HDMI cable? are you able to borrow another xbox and try your hdmi cable in it to see if its the xbox port ? have you tried connecting the hdmi cable in the front & back ports?

My xbox wont connect to HD at all whether it be through the cables with the HD option or through hdmi cable though I have no idea what the problem is as i've tried swapping all the different parts and everything works seperately

It sounds like the HDMI port on your television is not working or it could be a faulty port on the XBox hdmi. Try looking at both ports to see if either are loose or dirty and clean it with a q-tip or something that wont damage it.

Xbox will not fully turn on

Check the steps in Setup new system solution and Console
    wont power on solution
    support pages.

Step 5: Connect the console to your TV

The Xbox One S console system includes one HDMI cable. You can use this cable to connect the console to an HDMI-compatible TV or HDTV. Here's how:

    1. Connect the HDMI cable to the HDMI OUT port on your console (the leftmost HDMI port on the back of your console).
    2. Connect the other end of the cable to the HDMI input on your TV.
Note: If the included HDMI cable isn’t long enough, we recommend finding a n “HDMI Premium Certified Cable” of the appropriate length. If you need a cable that’s 50 feet or longer, you may want an “Active High-Speed HDMI Cable”.
