Hdmi/VGA

    i normally use a vga cord and a pc monitor with my xbox but ive recently tried to use a regular hdmi cord and a tv with it but the screen stays blank. When i tried the vga on the monitor again everything worked fine. Ive tried numerous hdmi cords and nothing
    worked.

    Im comparing a VGA HD/AV to the HDMI to DVI. But the question im asking is comparing the VGA hd/AV cable to HDMI. If you are still confused are any differences between a HDMI cable to the VGA HD/AV.

    If the monitor supports HDMI, use an HDMI cable. If not, use an HDMI to DVI cable.



    If the monitor only supports VGA, use the AV port VGA cable.

    @icestorm: ok, thanx. I also try a HDMI to DVI cable AND a DVI to VGA Adapter, so i get a HDMI to VGA. But i didnt get a picture or audio. My HDMI to DVi is a 21 pins, but the DVI to vga is 21+4 Pin Adapter. mybee thats the Problem????

    HDMI for OLD 360

    You can try to use a VGA to HDMI Adapter but you will need a VGA xbox cable to use that setup.

    There is no cable that will go from xbox output to HDMI
