HDMI TV Control

Nope, the Xbox One lacks HDMI-CEC, also called "control over HDMI". That enables devices to turn on the TV, switch it's inputs or use the TV controller to control them. For a supposedly all-in-one device, it's a pretty big oversight.

I only see a button that says hdmi control and it’s on for allowing the tv to control the hdmi devices. But I don’t see what you’re talking about. I have a new Phillips 4K 65” android google tv.

See if your avr has hdmi control via each input or if its an all or nothing deal. It could be that xbox has to support hdmi control as we'll and that is the problem,but I thought it was based on the avr or tv depending on how you were doing hdmi switching
( at the tv vs the receiver)

FYI, on my original Xbox one
when I plug in a headset into the controller the audio is redirected from the TV/HDMI to Headset and then when unplugged the audio is returned to the TV/HDMI.
