HDMI Troubles even after damaged HDMI output was replaced

    Hi:

Here's the current cliff-note story of my xbox woes

-About two weeks ago, my xbox no longer displayed video when I came home from the gym. My roommate had been playing xbox 360 on the TV and had disconnected the HDMI cable from my xbox one, and apparently damaged the HDMI output in the process.

    - As my Xbox was out of warranty, I had taken it to a repair shop where they determined they needed to solder a new one onto the xbox.

-After picking it up from the shop, the xbox still failed to display any picture, so I brought it back.

-At the shop, they showed me that the xbox does display video on their monitor

-I brought the xbox back home, where it still failed to display any image.

-I used three different HDMI cables that were confirmed to be working on my roommates Xbox One, on a TV and Projector which also are confirmed to be working to test if the xbox would display video

-The Xbox One still does not output video

-I contacted support yesterday and they told me to reboot the Xbox on a "cold boot" and to hold the eject and power button for 20 seconds

Still, the xbox video output is not working at my home. It did output at the repair shop as I saw with my own eyes. They were using a monitor and an HDMI cable, and I have a TV and several HDMI cables.

So, What is my next step to fixing the Xbox? The HDMI soldering cost $150, and sending it in to Xbox costs ~$99 minimum...which is basically the cost of a new xbox so I'm trying to avoid this route until all other avenues are exhausted.

    :)

    HDMI splitter on XB1

    do what I did

I put the HDMI switch after my A/V receiver

so HDMI from XB1 to input of A/V receiver. Output of A/V receiver to input of HDMI switch. 1st output of HDMI switch to TV, 2nd output of HDMI switch to projector. gives full audio and now you have options for either TV or projector for everything that is connected to your A/V receiver

HDMI to composite cable for Xbox 360 E?

So cleaning around my room I had the unfortunate accident of pulling the standard A/V composite cable that was hooked up from my 360 to my TV and now I won't get any output from the 3.5mm jack. I believe it's damaged, but after testing the console on a friend's
TV I noticed the HDMI output worked just fine. Since my TV doesn't support HDMI I was wondering if I can get any generic HDMI to composite cable for my 360, short of just trying to get my console repaired so I can use the old A/V output again

    Hey there Lynchmob212.

If you reset your video settings while connected to your TV and it's still not showing picture but showing on other televisions, it sounds like the issue is on the TV side of things. Do you have another TV in your home you can test?

    Hi Mr Maka:

It's not the TV. My roommate also has an Xbox which works fine on my TV. I've confirmed that the HDMI cables and viewing apparatus all work by using his Xbox. My Xbox only displayed video at the repair shop.

While your roommate's Xbox may be working with your TV, it still does sound like the issue is with your Television. Have any display settings changed on your TV, by chance?

HDMI Troubles even after damaged HDMI output was replaced

    Hello everyone!
Something like that seems to happen to me.
A few weeks ago my xbox one s runs perfect if I connected it to my projector or TV through the HDMI port.
Now its only recognize a new TV, or I have to connect it to my projector through the AV port, with an adapter (hdmi to AV). If I connect it directly to the projector 's HDMI port,
    nothing is visible.
The projector's hdmi works perfectly with my pc or with the digital camera. Then, the console emits signal unfailingly, because I can use it with my new TV,
or with my projector through the AV adapter,
Of course the quality is a little less than 720p.
Will it be an update error?
I already tried the cold start (start in low resolution) and it only worked with the TV, not with the projector.
If anyone knows anything, I greatly appreciate it!
