HDMI split a/v support

Is it possible for Microsoft to send a firmware update to the Xbox One S/X consoles to allow a split a/v. In other words to turn the HDMI input into a HDMI audio only output for Dolby Atmos/DTS X?

Hi Sheen,

AS I stated that was a personal opinion. This could very well be an option in a future update. Unfortunately, no one knows what these updates entail until they come out. You could go to the Xbox ideas and put in a suggestion. Xbox ideas is in place for situations
like this. Mainly due to no one here on the forums have anything to do with what comes next for Xbox.

Thanks for coming to the forums with your question. Personally don't think there will be an update like this. When you start splitting signal they can become weak and/or not work entirely. You can go to
Xbox ideas and post a suggestion concerning this matter.

Every mid to high end 4K disc player has a second HDMI output for audio only. If it can be for done movies why can't it be done for games?

If you are not using an HDMI, the component/composite cable do not support the correct resolution for split screen. Therefore you must use an HDMI to do split screen on MineCraft.

Some TV doesn't support split screen, you need a HDTV with a Component or HDMI cable required for Split-Screen play. Split-screen functionality works with a VGA connection to a PC monitor as well as HDMI-to-DVI cables to a PC monitor. Up to 4 players can
