HDMI signal cuts out.

I have this problem where the screen will turn black for less than 1 second up to a few seconds (about 2-4) multiple times over a short period. then it stops for another few seconds and starts back up. Occasionally a static like image will show up for
a split second before going to full black but it wasn't black and white, it was really

colorful like this.

This problem showed up yesterday and I though I had fixed it with a hard reset/cache clear but it resurfaced again today only much worse.

In my trouble shooting I have tried 2 different HDMI cables. Didn't help.

I tried a different HDMI port on the TV. Didn't help.

I tried connecting to a different TV entirely. The problem persisted.

I also tried various resolutions. 720p, 1080p, and 4k. The problem was not HDMI bandwidth.

This means it's likely the HDMI port/chipset (idk if chipset is the correct term) on the console.

I noticed it happened less while in the Home menu but in-game the problem is much worse.

So I have hypothesized that the issue is heat. I went into a game of Horde and the signal was fine, but once I started the wave and enemies began spawning the problem began again.

I want to know if anybody else has this problem.

Is there a solution?

After New Experience update, Xbox will not turn off my projector.

I have this exact same issue, but with an Epson projector. The problem can be resolved if you disable the instant on function. I believe the issue is the fact that the xbox sends the first power signal, then cuts the hdmi signal, then sends the second power
signal. When the hdmi signal is cut, it cancels out the first power signal, making me press power on the projector remote once to get it all the way off.

 

HDMI Video Blacking out

All of a sudden my console started to black out at random times. It's only with the HDMI though. I've tried using a different HDMI cable, no luck; same problem. I tried using a different TV, same problem. The video (and audio) cuts out from anywhere between
3 seconds to minutes. My TV also states, during this blackout, "No Video Signal" and "Unsupported Video Signal".

Is it possible for the HDMI to just crap out like this? Should I just send it in for repairs?

Update: It's gotten worse now. Xbox isn't connecting at all anymore. I now think the solder has actually cracked. I'm guessing Microsoft used lead free solder which is more brittle than leaded solder.

Such a shame. Going to be requesting a replacement now

i have this problem myself it would blink black then an all out static screen wth occassional blinking i would need to turn off the console but later on it would happen again
