HDMI port won't work.

Alright so today I look at my cable and as it would seem it got bent up so I figured, "man I'm going to need a new cable" well some time passed and I got the cable and when I tried plugging it in and playing my tv wouldn't recognize my Xbox. I tried turning
the cord around but still the same result. As it would appear my port was messed up in the process from way earlier in the morning. What can I do to fix this?

Xbox one to my laptop

Only one HDMI port? It's an output, not an input. Won't work.

TV: Freeview HD?

No you will need a Freeview box that has a HDMI port on it, built in Freeview from TV won't work.

Did you try another HDMI cord? Have you tried using the component connection? I would probably contact Xbox support about this. You can try their support twitter here:

I had to buy a new cord, and my tv has a direct channel for HDMI so it wouldn't be component. I think the port may have come unsoldered from the MOBO.

No you will need a Freeview box that has a HDMI port on it, built in Freeview from TV won't work.

Your laptop would need an HDMI-In input which most laptops don't have. The HDMI port you're using is most likely an output and won't work for that.

Unless the port is an HDMI-In port you won't be able to use it to do that.

I stated that I used other HDMI Cables and another Tv. My xbox worked on the second tv with the same cable, and my laptop worked with the same HDMI cable on my Tv in the same HDMI Port. The Xbox, Tv, and HDMI cable work fine, they just won't work together
right now for some reason.
