HDMI port broken

Hi There,

The HDMI port is broken on my sons x-box - is it a big job to get repaired

Hi I have a 360 elite 120GB that i bought july 2010 and ever since i bought it i have been using an hdmi cable to connect it to my tv for 1080p, but recently i cant seem to get the 1080p on the cable anymore. The xbox doesnt even see the cable and sees it
as a dvi cable. My picture is fuzzy and i even tried a different HDMI cable and a different HDMI port on my tv which didnt solve anything. Do i have a broken HDMI port? im still under warranty so i can send it in but im surprised the port would break so easily.

If you can try and test your console on another TV with your current HDMI cable and with a different HDMI cable just in case it's your TV or cable that's at fault rather than your console.

If this is the issue, you can send your Xbox to Microsoft and it can potentially be fixed for a price, and if the Xbox has not been opened/tampered with.

Is it not working, or is it physically damaged? If he's had the system less than a year and it's just not working it would be eligible to be repaired/replaced under warranty. If it's physically damaged or out of warranty it may be able to be repaired for
a price. However, with all of the holiday deals it may end up being a better option to replace/upgrade to a new Xbox.
