HDMI passthrough problems... freezing

My Xbox One has started misbehaving, but only when dealing with HDMI passthrough. The system itself is working fine.

Connections: My TiVo inputs to the XB1 input, and then the output runs to the TV. It's been this way for a year or more.

Symptoms: Games work fine. Everything about the system works fine. The problem is that the TiVo appears "frozen". I get about 2-5 seconds of the TV, but then things freeze. The TiVo acts like it's frozen. However, I believe I've isolated
this to the XB1, as when I plug the TiVo directly into the TV, everything is fine.

This appears to have started recently -- I believe concurrently with the latest update.

Anyone else seeing this? I called Microsoft, they were stumped and were going to call me back, and never did.

Have you tried a different HDMI cable?

If there is a problem with the HDMI cable you have attached to the passthrough then that would probably causes issues.

Have you tried a different HDMI cable?

If there is a problem with the HDMI cable you have attached to the passthrough then that would probably causes issues.

I have AT&T U-Verse. I was having issues with not being able to watch TV in surround sound. If my cable box was set to surround, I could not watch SD channels. But NOW!! I FIXED IT!! I switched the cable box from the WIRED Motorola to the WIRELESS Cisco
box. and the Cisco cable box works flawlessly with the Xbox one. I have full surround, full 1080i, AND I am able to flip through the SD channels with without any freezing. So... if anyone one is listening... if you have AT&T U-verse, use the wireless, black
Cisco cable box on your Xbox one! NOT the grey Motorola boxes!

This thread is marked as "solved", but I'm not sure getting an HDMI switch solves anything. I have a Scientific Atlanta 8300HD as well, and experience the "lost TV signal" and audio stuttering with HDMI pass through. The 8300HD works fine when plugged directly
into the TV. I am just using vanilla audio via HDMI to the TV speakers. Is there any fix for this yet?

Live TV is working fine if... IF..... I keep my AT&T UVerse box on stereo. As soon as I put it in surround sound, I start getting freezing. It's unmatchable. This is true whether the resolution is 720 or 1080.

HDMI passthrough problems... freezing
