My brother broke the hmdi port can it be hooked up another way

You did not say if you are using a Xbox 360 or Xbox one?

If it is the tv most TV's have more than 1 hmdi port, so you can use that, also if you have a 360 you can connect with the old way of using the scart port. If is the port on the Xbox one you will need to contact Xbox support\service repair

The best thing to do would be to call the Geek Squad from Best Buy if there's a Best Buy in your area or your internet/cable service provider to see if you can't get a repair man to visit and asses the issue with the broken HDMI port. Any electronics hobby
store in the area should be able to help in some manner if the damage isn't significant enough to be repaired. If your TV is covered under its retailer warranty or manufacturer's warranty you may be able to have it repaired or replaced for free if you can
access online the website for the TV's manufacturer with its make and model number found typically on the back of the TV.

If the HDMI port on the Xbox is broken, you could look into getting the console serviced if I'm interpreting this situation wrong. I'll post a link with more details for that.

No, you cant reroute it or use a Adapter. If the HDMI to TV is broken, you must repair it. Contact the Microsoft Support

There is no other Port on the XBOX One to use on the TV
