HDMI not working

XB1 and Kinect seems to power up normally from an external lights perspective but HDMI broadcast to TV not working. Verified HDMI port on TV functional even switched to HDMI2. I have unplugged to reset power brick and unit.

My older xbox, an elite, had the same issue. The HDMI port stopped working after 6 months--January-June. I had to deal with the lower graphics about a year before getting and hdmi component cable, which is almost as good.

Now, I got a new slim and it is experiencing the exact same issue. I have used my slim less than 10 times and it already cannot use an hdmi cable? This is pathetic. How can MS produce products that break within 6 months, now 2 weeks? It stupid and needs
to be fixed! I pay hundreds to buy by xboxes and hundreds for the equpment, as well as $40 or so for the HDMI cable that MS sells, which is no better than a $5 HDMI, infact, the $5 HDMI are a lot stronger and more durable than the ones MS sells.

I have tried other TVs, and obviously other xbox's, as well as other HDMI's. .What else can I do? I pay for good graphics and I am tired of being cheaped out by broken xbox's. Does anyone have any other suggestions on how to get this fixed?

No, I am not sending it in for a repair for a few reasons.

1. It will never be the same, a small HDMI repair will leave marks all over the xbox and other damages.

2. It is a limited edition xbox, and if they cannot repair it, they will just give me some other refurbished xbox, not my special limited one back, making me lose $50-$100, whatever tthe difference is between regular and limited. It's a poor system for a
large company, and it needs to be fixed!

Again, any other suggestons on getting my HDMI fixed.

@Resposibility, The HD port is fine because it worked fine on my housemate's TV

@Sage to Rage - looks like it could be the TV. I've tried in multiple HDMI in ports on the TV and tried having a mess about with the settings to no avail. I've now ordered a component lead from ebay.

 

Have you tried the hdmi cable shipped with your xbox or did you try it with your own?

1. You are also shure to have used the right port on the XBOX.
2. You also can try Start up your XBOX in slow Resolution mode for that press Eject and Power On "simultanously" at the same time...)
