    HDMI not recognizing Xbox One


    Earlier today (on a different tv with different HDMI cables) my Xbox worked perfectly fine. Now when I boot it up there is no video showing, even though I can hear the controller noises when I hold the center button. I've tried resetting the console, resetting
    the display, different HDMI cables, different TV's. Nothing has worked. Help?

    Xbox one no longer recognizes my HDMI on my TV

    I'm having the same problem. My TV is not recognizing the xbox one thru hdmi but it recognizes the cable box and computer. I've tried different hdmi ports on different TVs, it's not working properly. Somehow the xbox one can still turn on and off the TV.

    TV not recognizing Xbox HDMI

    I have never had a problem connecting the xbox to a TV until now. Just traveled to a relatives with the xbox in tote, went to hook up the system so we all could play, and for some reason the TV is not recognizing the XBOX input on HDMI. I have tried several
    cables (the one that I use at home, the one they use for their DVD player, as well as the one for their cable box). I also tried resetting the display setting via the blind option on the xbox...and nothing is working. The TV is a digital Samsung (not sure
    of the model, but can get if needed). Fairly newer TV than mine at home. Seems like a lot of this is going around via the web...but cannot find a solution that actually works out there. Thanks.

    Hey there iTranceDemon!

    Sorry to hear about the display issues! Let's start by power cycling the Xbox One console. During this process we will have you unplug all cables from the Xbox One. Follow these steps below:

    • Press and hold the power button on the Xbox One console for 10 seconds, or until the unit is fully powered off.
    • Unplug the power cable and HDMI cable from the back of the Xbox One console and let it sit for 5 minutes.
    • Plug the HDMI cable into the 'HDMI Out' port securely and plug the power back in.
    • Power on and verify if the issue is solved.
    Post back and let us know if the steps above helped! HDMI not recognizing Xbox One :)

    HDMI to DVI cable question

    I think the xbox would recognize it as HDMI, seeings as it is using the HDMI port of the Xbox. However, the resolution and graphics may suffer considerably.

    To play devil's advocate though, It may recognize that it isn't transmitting in full HDMI and not allow you to play SS on Minecraft.

    Xbox one x not excepting surround sound from my TiVo

    Yes I’ve tried multiple HDMI cables it’s as if the Xbox one x doesn’t even recognize the surroundsound coming from the TiVo but my old Xbox one does and if it were an HDMI cable issue using the same HDMI cable pluged in to the TiVo going to the old Xbox
    versus a new Xbox would’ve given me the same results but it doesn’t
