HDMI handshake issue XBOX one and LG 50PZ550 Plasma TV

I've read on this issue some on the 360 and am hoping there is some solution somewhere to what I'm experiencing. My xbox one will not connect to my LG TV. The TV recognizes there is something there, displays "connecting" and then goes to no signal. I'm
assuming this is a handshake issue with HDMI. I have tried using other ports on the TV, using different cables, chatting with Microsoft, going through all of the troubleshooting steps in the display issue guide, and sending the console in for repair. The
TV does connect just fine to my cable box, LG audio system, and xbox 360 slim. Connecting the xbox one to another TV does work, however, in a tragic accident involving a pillow pet, the other TV now has a cracked panel. The answer from the xbox repair service
was that the issue could not be duplicated. The Xbox one used to connect to the TV with no issue, so now I'm at a total loss and have a 1 year old system that I cannot use. Connecting the Xbox one through the A/V receiver does not work either. Any help
on this issue will be much appreciated.

Unable to connect system to LG TV

LG's HDMI support is notoriously unstable, not sure if it is the way they handshake or whether their software is poor but it is a long standing complaint you can find in many places on the internet.

Xbox 360 had issues with LG TV's as well (do a web search for xbox one lg tv hdmi and you'll get pages of results including PlayStation issues connecting to LG TV's so not limited to Microsoft).

Things to try:

On your TV that it works with, set your Xbox One to a lower resolution i.e. 720p then plug it in to the LG TV and see if it works.

Check for a TV firmware update

Reset TV to factory default settings

Try other HDMI cables

Try a HDMI to AV converter for your sister's TV and use AV cables with your Xbox One when using that TV.

I see that your TV has a game mode in the picture settings section, is that enabled ?

Could you check that your TV is set to home use and not Store use. You could also try resetting the TV to factory defaults, that would of course erase any setting changes you made and TV channels.

Ironically I'm having the exact problem, however none of my hdmi suddenly won't work.

 

This is crazy. I have posted about this since Dec 2013 and no one has an answer. We know it's a software issue but Microsoft won't address it.
