HDMI Cord won't connect

I recently got my Xbox one about 4 months ago but there are games I have on my Xbox 360 that I still like to play every once in a while. I've been doing the Xbox 360 a lot lately and tonight I went to hook up my Xbox one again. When I hooked the hdmi cord
up it didn't have any option for me to go to HDMI 2 so I tried HDMI 1 and also that didn't work. My dish network HDMI Cord works just fine on it home HDMI 1 and 2. Any suggestions for why my Xbox one HDMI cord will not work?

Xbox One won't connect to t.v.

My Xbox One frequently will not make contact with my Phillips T.V. Most times I just replace the HDMI cord and it works but it's a constant problem. I've gone through 8 HDMI cords in the past year. Today I am using an HDMI cord I bought maybe 3 weeks ago
and it won't connect to the television. Does anybody else ever encounter this problem? It's getting annoying.

Yes it has multiple HDMI ports. So what I was wondering was even if the cable I've been looking at say HDMI to AV, as long as I hook up the AV cables to the ports in the DISH " AV output" and the HDMI cord into the HDMI on the one. Then use another HDMI
cord to connect the Xone to my TV. Problem solved? Or will that cord not work?

 

Hey JKKJE -

To clarify, does your Xbox One console work if you use a different HDMI cable? If so, it's entirely possible that you have a faulty HDMI cable. Can you try connecting your console using a different HDMI cable to see if that works? Or try using your Xbox's
HDMI cable on a different device to see what happens?

If the cable is faulty, the best course would simply be to replace it.
