    HDMI connection will now work


    I have an old Xbox 360 that i am trying to connect to a TV. When plugged in both HDMI and TV I do not get a connection between devices. I do not have the original TV that the Xbox was connected to so i cannot view and settings on the Xbox to change settings.
    I also do not have a VGA/AV cable that I could use to establish a connection. What can i do to get my Xbox to be recognised by the TV? Remembering that i cannot see the screen or display to edit settings.

    Hardware problems on Xbox One

    I had a problem with Live TV not working correctly. When I first set up the HDMI cables, I connected my cable box to the XB1. Live TV worked off and on. Video would freeze or I'd receive a black screen. Once, I even received a message saying my cable box wasn't connected to the XB1, when clearly it was. I looked around for others having that problem and found a solution which worked. At first, I didn't have the HDMI cable packed with the XB1 plugged into both my cable box and XB1. I simply used the cable I've been using. When I made the change and used a Monster HDMI cable from the XB1 to the TV, everything worked! Right now, my biggest problem is taking time to configure Kinect correctly.

    Can I Direct Connect XboxOne to TV?

    Na you cant connect your xbox one directly to a tv via hdmi. You have to first connect it to a toaster than plug the toaster into a receiver. Then the xbox one will only work after plugging your cables hdmi into xbox "hdmi in" port.

    Issue with connecting my xbox to the tv using a hdmi cable

    So my Xbox one was connected with my tv by a hdmi cable. the day after i connect this cable hdmi with my xbox360 and now it doesnt work with the xbox one . what should i do pls ?

    Directv and Receiver not working

    I have an older DirecTV HD DVR connected to my Xbox One also and all is working well now.

    In order to get it to work, I had to connect the DVR, via HDMI, directly to the Xbox One's HDMI input. The DVR no longer passes through the AV receiver. The AV receiver's HDMI out is now connected to a different input on the TV. Fortunately, my AV receiver,
    a Yamaha, turns off and on automatically with the TV, a Sharp, otherwise I don't think that everything would work, but I'm not sure. The optical out from the Xbox is the only connection to the AV receiver for the DirecTV and Xbox audio.

    I don't know the details of how CEC over HDMI works, but if it is Ethernet based, you may not need a direct connection between two devices for the commands to reach the right device. For example, since my Xbox one is connected to the TV via HDMI and the
    AV receiver is also connected to the TV the same way, the TV could be passing the commands along to all connected devices. If this is the case, you should be able to get your system to function fully as well.

    Your xbox 360 console comes with an identical cable that goes into the back of the console where the red and white (sound cables) go into, all you need to do is find the smaller cable so you hdmi will fit in simultaneusly.

    Audio is fadeing in and out.

    HDMI cable is NOT the problem. Connected my 360 S via second HDMI cable - worked for awhile - then did the same thing (short loud hum then silence). My console had been working fine for over 1 year and now a repeat 2 days in a row. A/V cables work fine.
    Firmly believe this is a xBox 360 console HDMI Port related issue.
