HDMI - CEC Xbox series X

I’m having trouble setting up HDMI CEC with my new XBSX, It worked fine with my old XB1X now I can’t seem to find the setting to change the type of TV and Brand. HDMI CEC is definitely supported + turned on on my TV, HDMI cable is the one included from the XBSX box. Any help would be great, and if you need any more details I’ll get back to you ASAP. HDMI-CEC is supported only on Xbox One X, Xbox Series S, and Xbox Series X. You must also enable HDMI-CEC on your TV.

Xbox Series X|S consoles can use an HDMI feature called Consumer Electronics Control (CEC) to send commands to and from CEC-enabled devices (such as TVs and AVRs) that are connected to the console.

This feature can be turned on and off via the TV & A/V power options settings screen. Press the Xbox button  to open the guide, then go to Profile & system > Settings > General > Sleep mode & startup > TV & A/V power options.

No, thanks though if I ever need it in the future then I’ll give it a reset then but for now it’s just a minor inconvenience. Thanks for your time though

I’ve tried a couple of HDMI cables and I have no idea what’s going on 😂.

With CEC on audio starts cracking really badly. I’m just going to leave CEC off for now. Thanks for the help though

I can turn HDMI CEC on, however it doesn’t work anymore. I’m assuming that the brand selector got replaced with some automatic detector but it has not worked and I can’t manually change it. I’ll be sure to check out all troubleshooting steps though, thanks.
