HDMI CEC remote control not released yet?

    Hi all,

I have no option on my Xbox (not on insider) to enable TV remote control through HDMI CEC.

Is it still only on Insider builds or there is something wrong on my console?

It has been announced ONE year ago for Insider, possible it is still not released to everyone?

I have also asked this many times on twitter but really no one is replying.

    Thank you guys.

How does TV work with voice.

You can control your Set Top Box (STB) if it supports HDMI-CEC. You maybe able to control your TV, but again it needs to support HDMI-CEC.

Some STBs do not feature HDMI-CEC protocol (e.g. Sky HD STB), which means it can't be controlled via Xbox One. You need a Sky remote.

    xbox one's tv abilities?

ARC is Audio Return Channel. It allows a TV's audio to be sent back to the attached receiver via the HDMI Out of the receiver instead of having to run a separate audio line from the TV to the receiver. It's intended for use when using a TV's internal tuner
via an attached antenna or cable source.

HDMI CEC is what allows your TV's remote to control other components without actually programming the remote with the code for the other devices.

HDMI CEC pre-dates ARC by several revisions. Unfortunately, few things take advantage of it.

How to Turn on HDMI-CEC on Your Samsung TV

    1. Open the External Device Manager. To activate HDMI-CEC, go to the External Device Manager, found under the General
      Settings menu.
    2. Activate CEC. The first option in the External Device Manager is Anynet+ (HDMI-CEC). ...
    3. Navigate to Universal Remote. In the source list, select Universal Remote, and add a new device.

Just found this, hope it helps

Xbox One Passthrough work when off?

I don't know what anynet is, nor do I know if "HDMI control" and HDMI-CEC are the same thing, but HDMI-CEC is supported according to MS.

    HDMI 1.3?

As far as I know they have not included any CEC functionality in any of the xbox models to date. A device can be HDMI 1.3 or 1.4 compatible without implementing any CEC functionality.CEC is an optional part of the HDMI standard so a lot of companies choose
to ignore it. From what I understand the current xbox models are HDMI 1.3 compatible (without CEC unctionality).

I wish they would add a full feature set of CEC commands to the xbox. I love being able to control my PS3 slim with just my normal TV remote to watch netflix and stuff without ever picking up the ps3 controller. There are a ton of other great functions
I would love to see added to the Xbox too.
