    HDMI CEC not working on Xbox Series X


    After long search on the internet and contacting the xbox support, I'm still searching for a solution. The HDMI CEC doesn't work on my new Xbox Series X, unless it was working fine with my Xbox One X on the same TV (LG). The settings are good on the TV. I emptied the cache, change the settings on the console (for HDMI CEC) enabled and disabled it but nothing change. The TV can't be controlled by the Xbox for now...

    For more information, don't hesitate to ask me, I want to solve this issue for me and other people facing it.

    Console : Xbox Series X Build : Omega

    HDMI cable : Official

    TV : LG Simplink : Enable Synchronization : Enable

    HDMI-CEC is supported only on Xbox One X, Xbox Series S, and Xbox Series X. You must also enable HDMI-CEC on your TV.

    Xbox Series X|S consoles can use an HDMI feature called Consumer Electronics Control (CEC) to send commands to and from CEC-enabled devices (such as TVs and AVRs) that are connected to the console.

    This feature can be turned on and off via the TV & A/V power options settings screen. Press the Xbox button  to open the guide, then go to Profile & system > Settings > General > Sleep mode & startup > TV & A/V power options.

    I’ve tried a couple of HDMI cables and I have no idea what’s going on 😂.

    With CEC on audio starts cracking really badly. I’m just going to leave CEC off for now. Thanks for the help though

    I can turn HDMI CEC on, however it doesn’t work anymore. I’m assuming that the brand selector got replaced with some automatic detector but it has not worked and I can’t manually change it. I’ll be sure to check out all troubleshooting steps though, thanks.
