HDMI-CEC not turning on Series X via LG55CX

Discus and support HDMI-CEC not turning on Series X via LG55CX in XBoX on Consoles to solve the problem; As thread subject says, the HDMI-CEC signal to turn on the Series X when the TV switches to it's HDMI port isn't working.     HDMI-CEC not turning on Series X via LG55CX


    As thread subject says, the HDMI-CEC signal to turn on the Series X when the TV switches to it's HDMI port isn't working. The Series X just stays off. I saw the CEC known issue in the pinned thread, but Disabling > Restarting > Enabling still hasn't worked for me. I'm on the insider program, and the TV turns on my PS4 without issue. Any suggestions?

    HDMI-CEC is supported only on Xbox One X, Xbox Series S, and Xbox Series X. You must also enable HDMI-CEC on your TV.

    Xbox Series X|S consoles can use an HDMI feature called Consumer Electronics Control (CEC) to send commands to and from CEC-enabled devices (such as TVs and AVRs) that are connected to the console.

    This feature can be turned on and off via the TV & A/V power options settings screen. Press the Xbox button  to open the guide, then go to Profile & system > Settings > General > Sleep mode & startup > TV & A/V power options.

    Your soundbar is probably turning off via HDMI-CEC (Samsung calls it Anynet+) and not an IR signal from Kinect.

    It's probably due to the TV sending a
    CEC signal     via HDMI.

    Check if your TV has a setting to turn these CEC functions off. However, most TV makers don't call it CEC, but something fancy like VIERA Link, Anynet+, Aquos Link.

    Turn off those CEC commands, and your Xbox should stay off when you start the EPG.

    Most PC Graphics Cards if any Do Not Support CEC so it's unlikely you will be able to change channel using Windows Media centre via HDMI. You can However buy CEC adapter like this. www.pulse-eight.com/.../usb-hdmi-cec-adapter
