  1. HDMI-CEC doesn't work

    Hi guys!

Another question on a newly bought XBOX Series X - for whatever reason it doesn't turn on / off my TV when I enable / disable the console.

HDMI-CEC is enabled, I've doublechecked, my TV supports this protocol (PS4 Pro enabled the TV with no issues).

    TV I have: LG 49UM7000PLA

    What I've done:

    1) Did press 2 buttons (eject & power), console started in 640x480

    2) Did reset all settings on the console

    3) Did reset all settings on my TV

    4) Tested all available HDMI ports

    5) Tested with different cable

In all cases I've faced the same issue.

Could someone point me to the right direction? Thanks!

    :)

X1 stopped turning on and off my audio receiver since update

Thendercleetz, HDMI-CEC support doesn't have to be an 'all or nothing' feature. If given the proper configuration settings, Kinect IR blaster and HDMI-CEC could work in tandem quite well. As you say most cable boxes don't support this feature, so they would
be continued to controlled by the Kinect, the rest by HDMI-CEC (with the ability to turn this on/off). As for the Power On/Off, HDMI-CEC is a two-way communication if you turn the Xbox on and the TV and AVR are both already powered on it's checks that and
does nothing. For powering off, we would need to be given an additional option (just as PS4 does). 'Power off console only', and 'Power off all components'.

Xbox won’t start on my tv

    Hi,

This is quite normal as it seems that Xbox One still doesn't support HDMI-CEC.

    The New Xbox One S

Is there support for hdmi-cec in the Xbox one slim? I could kinda see Microsoft assuming that everyone had older televisions when they released the first xb one. But this is heated to 4k televisions. There's not a 4k TV on the market that doesn't support
    hdmi-cec.

Why doesn't Xbox consoles(360 and newer) have HDMI CEC?

Just any random device? How does this work extensively? Does this just enable CEC on the primary HDMI out or is there some weird trick to plugging in my receiver to the HDMI in on the xbox and the input turns into the output but with HDMI CEC?

HDMI - CEC is not working

    Hi there!

To confirm, did it work just fine before on your current TV?

Please check the link below if it's setup correctly on your console. Check the troubleshooting section as well.
    https://support.xbox.com/help/hardware-network/...

Other option would be to perform a factory reset. You can keep your games and apps for that.
Press the Xbox button to open the guide.
Select Profile & system > Settings > System > Console info.
    Select Reset console.
On the Reset your console? Please choose “Reset and keep my games & apps”
