HDMI cable is not working

Time for a new xbox or send it in for repair. Sounds like you've tried everything

i just did that a few minutes ago, the lights on the controller flashed until i let go (15 seconds or so is what i read) but no reboot or display

If you have another HDMI cable, it is worth trying it out as it will identify if it is the cable that is faulty or there is an issue with the Xbox.

If there is an issue with the Xbox, as mentioned by others you can either claim under your warranty or speak to the retailer you purchased the console from.

Not all options will lead to request a call from support because a lot of solution can be done by the user using self-service options found online. You can try changing up the categories to get a callback option. The option can be found in the billing or
account categories.

Did you try the self service options I listed before the contact option? You should be able to set up a service order for a new HDMI cable using the links and steps I listed.

If I'm interpreting what you're writing correctly - you presumably do not have a power issue. It seems that you've done some of your own trouble shooting - you have attempted to connect your Xbox via other means (i.e. composite video hookup ) and it works
perfectly fine... I would suggest checking the setting(s) on your TV and double checking that you've selected the proper HDMI input for your XBOX. Also, I would suggest connecting another device to your TV via the HDMI cable to make sure the HDMI cable / TV
input function properly - then go from there accordingly.
